The contribution of Black and Minority Ethnic Staff to the NHS since 1948

To mark the 60th anniversary of the founding of the NHS, in 2008, NHS North West's Equality and Diversity team produced a 'Timeline Exhibition' which honours the enormous contribution made to the NHS by Black and Minority Ethnic staff over the past six decades. Key political events of the past 60 years are set alongside milestones in the health service and the personal stories of individual staff.

Alongside this, a series of filmed interviews was created, allowing staff past and present to give their personal stories about working in the NHS.
