Rainbow Voices

Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people: their involvement with, and contribution to, healthcare and medicine through the ages.

This film, Rainbow Voices, contains a series of interviews with NHS LGB&T staff in the NHS, talking about their experiences of working in the NHS and how the culture of the health service has changed over the past two or three decades.

The film accompanies an exhibition which was created to mark LGBT History Month 2011, to document the experiences of LGB&T people in relation to medicine and healthcare. It also highlights the contributions made by individuals, including groundbreaking developments in surgery and other areas of medicine.

The exhibition boards are available to hire for conferences and other events, by emailing loren.grant@northwest.nhs.uk. To obtain copies of the brochure which accompanies the exhibition, which contains a fuller version of the exhibition text, please email loren.grant@northwest.nhs.uk
